Orthopedic Hands-On Workshop

This workshop is intended to provide a review of common arthrocentesis approaches as well as hands-on training on these techniques.  Additionally, we will discuss indications for common upper and lower extremity splints and their appropriate application.  This training is intended for PAs in the primary care/ED setting or who routinely care for patients with common musculoskeletal disorders.

Workshop objectives:

  • Understand standard arthrocentesis techniques/approaches for shoulders and knees
  • Recognize indications for common upper and lower extremity splints
  • Understand how to appropriately apply common upper and lower extremity splints

Chief Orthopedic Surgeon in Travis AFB, CA. Dr. Skordas completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine & Shoulder Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA in 2017.
