CAPA’s 50th Anniversary celebration is underway. To commemorate this milestone, CAPA is hosting a series of special events throughout the year, including virtual programs and in-person experiences held in conjunction with CAPA conferences. A Celebration 50 Years in the Making
After a year of celebrating CAPA’s history, community, and impact, it all comes together at the 50th Anniversary Awards & After-Party. Join the California PA community for the culmination of CAPA’s 50th anniversary festivities as we honor outstanding members of the CAPA community, recognize the people and moments that have shaped CAPA over five decades, and celebrate this historic milestone together.
Awards & After-Party
Choose your favorite decade from the past five decades, dress the part, and join us for a celebration featuring CAPA’s 50th Anniversary Awards, decade-inspired food and drinks, music spanning the decades, a DJ and dance floor, a costume contest, party favors, interactive activities, and special surprises throughout the evening. From recognizing those who have made a lasting impact on the profession to celebrating together on the dance floor, the evening will commemorate where CAPA has been and where we’re headed next.

As CAPA celebrates its past, present, and future, the 50th Anniversary Awards will recognize outstanding members of the CAPA community across five special honors, including:
Rising Star Award
Recognizing an emerging PA leader who has made a meaningful impact within the first five years of their career.
Excellence in Action Award
Celebrating a PA whose contributions and accomplishments demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the profession.
Legacy Award
Honoring a PA whose decades of leadership, service, and dedication have left a lasting mark on CAPA and the PA profession.
The 50th Anniversary Awards & After-Party is part of CAPACon 2026 and is included with CAPACon registration. CAPACon registration is not required to attend; individual guest tickets are also available for those who would like to join us for this special anniversary celebration.
Beyond the Clinic Webinar Series
CAPA is proud to present the Beyond the Clinic webinar series, a multi-part program highlighting career paths for Physician Associates beyond traditional clinical settings. The series includes five fully virtual webinars hosted throughout 2026. All sessions are free to attend and open to CAPA members. Click here to join CAPA!
