Pride of the Profession Award Recipients
The Pride of the Profession Award is the highest honor CAPA can grant to any individual. Recipients of this award are individuals who have made such significant contribution(s) to the PA profession that their impact is present and still felt today. From serving as the first president of the then newly established Physician Assistant Board, shaping the PA Practice Act, passing SB 697, to being the first PA to serve in Congress – Pride of the Profession recipients have truly done PAs proud!
This kind of contribution happens infrequently, and therefore, only those truly deserving are honored with this award. To date, only seven individuals have received the Pride of the Profession Award:
Karen Bass 2007 |
Bob Sachs 2008 |
Bob Miller 2012 |
Gaye Breyman 2010 |
Mike Scarano 2015 |
Jeremy Adler 2018 |
Julie Theriault 2021 |
