Physician Assistant - Part Time
Duffy’s Napa Valley Rehab, proud member of Acadia Healthcare, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our team! Since 1967, Duffy’s has been providing detox and addiction treatment for adults in northern California. This 21-acre resort is specifically tailored to promote well-being and genuine healing. Our program is made possible by the excellent clinical care from our staff of qualified and accredited professionals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for securing a medical history and physical from the patient and identifying normal/abnormal findings. Request appropriate diagnostic testing. Prescribe medications and treatments for illnesses in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform Medical Assessment of clients/patients of the facility. Complete documentation in the medical record accurately and timely recording all care rendered.
- Work collaboratively with the physician in planning, instituting, evaluating and revising care plans; assist in determining conditions, resources and policies essential to the delivery of health care services.
- Coordinate patient care activities through ongoing consultation with the facility leadership team, such as clinical director, nursing director and medical director.
- Promote compliance with all industry, Medicare and federal or state licensing standards which relate to the clinical management of patients admitted to the facility.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree - Physician Assistant program required.
- One or more years' experience working with patient population of the facility required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current professional Physician Assistant license required, per state regulations/requirements; may also require a current DEA license.
- CPR and deescalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
OTHER:
- Position is part-time/weekends. Ideally, we would love to have our PA onsite, however, we are open to explore virtual candidates!
