We are back home at the Wyndham Palm Springs. We have a very special room rate at the Wyndham. Just $154 – almost $100 off the regular rate in the fall. We also have rooms blocked at the beautiful Palm Springs Hilton. All hotels are downtown within blocks of all of the Palm Canyon Drive activities. The Wyndham is connected to the Palm Springs Convention Center. All lectures and workshops take place at either the Wyndham or the Convention Center. The Hilton is just a short walk away. The Wyndham and Hilton are offering the CAPA Conference rate a day or two before and/or after the CAPA Conference.

Make your reservations now. The hotels will sell out quickly. You must book your room no later than August 25, 2008 in order to take advantage of the special rate (assuming there are rooms left in the block on that date). You should call the hotels directly. Be sure to mention the CAPA Conference to receive our special group rate of $154 per night at the Wyndham, and $148 per night at the Hilton.

Be sure to mention the CAPA Group when calling in your reservation. This is almost $100 off the normal rate at this time of year.
Please note: The hotels will be crossreferencing reservation names with our registration list to ensure that everyone who is holding a reservation under CAPA’s block at the special rate is also registered for the CAPA Conference. Those who are not registered for the CAPA Conference by the hotel cut-off date (August 25, 2008) will be moved outside of the CAPA block and a higher rate will apply.

Fly Into Ontario (45 minutes from Palm Springs)
Try Southwest Airlines. We checked Southwest. com and found roundtrip fares from Sacramento/San Jose/ Oakland to Ontario for $140. We added a sweet little Sebring Convertible for 4 days ($200) – come on, you deserve it! Or, a compact car for ($90) – more money for shopping in Palm Springs!! Total for roundtrip airfare and car can be as low as $230!!

Fly Directly To Palm Springs
You can fly directly into Palm Springs. Check with United or Alaska Airlines. We checked United.com and found roundtrip flights from Sacramento/San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose to Palm Springs for $184 - $274 per person. There is a free shuttle to and from the Wyndham Hotel and since you are staying downtown, almost everything is within walking distance (think steps and pedometer!)
