Learning Objectives:

  • Identify patients “at risk” for LEUs
  • Describe non-invasive testing measures to assess for edema, neuropathy, and perfusion
  • State distinguishing characteristics specific to the underlying etiology with LEUs
  • Describe the appropriate treatment options for healing a chronic wound of the LE
  • State preventive measures of LEUs
  • Demonstrate application of compression therapy and moist wound healing intervention
